A man was shot and killed at his home in Sydney’s south-west on Friday afternoon, with police hunting for the man wanted for allegedly robbing and attacking a family.

Police said a neighbour called police to the home on St James Street shortly after 5:30pm and a man had been shot.
The man, who was described as a male, was pronounced deceased at the site.
He is believed of Caucasian appearance, 5’8″, about 190cm tall, of medium build with short black hair.
Neighbour Michelle Bowers said she heard several shots fired in the home and then found a man in the street.”
I looked up and there was this gentleman who was dead, and he was dead,” Ms Bowers told 7.30.”
He was just in the driveway, lying on the ground.””
He’d been shot and it looked like he’d been hit, and then he fell off the fence and then just fell down.””
There was blood everywhere.
“Ms Bowers has described the scene as “horrible”.”
I just just thought, ‘I hope he’s OK’,” she said.”
There’s no way this could happen.”‘
My heart just sank’Ms Bower said she saw a man lying on a nearby road with his arm around his leg.”
My heart was just sunk,” she said of the man’s death.”
It was pretty horrific.
“Ms Goulburn said the house belonged to her and her husband, who live in the house across the street from the house where the shooting took place.”
We’re shocked by this and obviously devastated by this.
We just want justice for this family,” she told 7,000 ABC Sydney.”

“Police have released a CCTV image of the suspect they believe is responsible for the shooting.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who was shot.
