When you’re trying to get your brand new, new-to-you kitchen door open you don’t want to just smash it, you need to break it apart to get it to work.

Luckily there’s a pretty easy way to do this.

The only tricky part is getting the door off the hinges.

Step one: Cut the door pieceYou’ll need a couple of lengths of wood that can be cut to length, or you can use a saw or saw blade to cut the wood and then cut it again.

You’ll need to be able to lift it to open it.

Step two: Cut out the piecesFor this we used two lengths of thin plastic.

It’s about 10mm wide and a bit over an inch thick.

We drilled out holes in the plastic to fit our screws and we then cut them out to fit the wood pieces.

Step three: Use a saw to cut out the woodNow that the door is in place, you’re going to need a tool for making your cut.

There are a couple ways of doing this.

The first method is to use a sledgehammer.

You can find this handy in the kitchen tools section of your local hardware store.

It has two handles that you can place on top of the door to hold it in place while you’re cutting.

If you’re not using a sacking saw, you’ll want to use the wood-scraper.

Step four: Cut through the plasticYou can cut the plastic pieces as you like, but the plan is to put a piece of tape around the outside of the opening to help it stick in place.

You don’t have to cut through the entire piece, just around the edge.

Once the door’s all cut out, you can drill a hole in the side of the piece to make sure you’ve got the proper amount of space for the screws.

Step five: Use the saw to open the doorNow that we’ve got everything drilled out and all the pieces of the plastic in place the door can now be opened.

Use the sledge hammer again to cut away the plastic and the metal pieces.

The door will now be fully open.

The door should be about a quarter of the way in.

Step six: Secure the doorIt’s important to secure the door, so that it doesn’t slip or move around.

The easiest way to secure it is to mark the top and bottom edges of the wooden piece with a pencil or a piece to hold the door closed.

Step seven: Install the screwsNow that you’ve attached the door you can screw it on, just as you would any other door.

The doors hinges are now on the inside, so you can tighten the screws with a pair of pliers.

You might also need to use some sandpaper to make them a bit tacky.

Once you’ve screwed it in, you should see a black mark on the door where the screw has gone.

That marks where the screws have to be installed.

Step eight: Care for the doorOnce you have the door securely attached, you want to take care of it.

First, make sure it’s cool and dry.

That means you’ve not let it sit for too long.

You could also use some lint-free paper towels to make it a bit easier to clean.

Once it’s dry, you might want to leave the door a bit open, which will help it stay in place longer.

The wood inside will also be slightly more susceptible to the elements.

Step nine: Clean upNow that your door is all secure, you may want to give it a good cleaning.

Take a rag and wipe it down with a damp cloth.

You’re not going to be doing that on a piece that is actually a kitchen door.

You should only be wiping it down on the outside surface, not the inside.

Step ten: Add the door handlesThe next step is to install the door handle.

Use a piece with screws on both ends.

Cut two of the handles in half and glue the ends together.

Once this is all in place you can take your piece of wood and glue it to the other side of your door.

Make sure the wood isn’t touching the door or the hinges, otherwise the door will slide back into place.

Step eleven: Finish the doorNext you’ll need the hinges to secure your door, and that can easily be done by just hanging the handle in place on the hinges and then pulling them.

You also need a piece for the handle that you’ll attach to the door.

This is where the sandpaper comes in handy.

You won’t need to sand the handle down, just make sure that it’s a smooth piece.

Step twelve: Secure itFinally you can attach the door itself.

The hinges will be held on by a piece called the ‘handle’ that you put over the hinges on the back of the house.

You may also need some kind of strap to hold them in place and you can also add some padding to help hold the handle and
